In-meeting features

Everything below lives on the control bar at the bottom of the meeting stage.

Screen share

Share a screen, window or browser tab into the meeting; sharing swaps your camera tile for the shared content and switches back automatically when you stop (or close the shared window). Virtual backgrounds pause while you're sharing and resume after.

Chat, reactions & raised hands

  • Chat — a message panel for everyone in the room, alongside system lines for joins, leaves and recording. Meeting chat is ephemeral: it lives for the meeting and is gone when the room closes.
  • Reactions — send an emoji that floats up over the stage for everyone.
  • Raise hand — flags your tile and roster entry until you lower it, so the organizer can call on people in order.

Virtual backgrounds

Under Meeting settings → Virtual background, choose None, Blur, one of the built-in scenes, or Upload your own image. Segmentation runs in your browser on your machine — the raw camera feed never leaves it — and your choice is remembered for the next meeting.

Devices & audio

The settings popover also covers hardware, switchable live mid-meeting:

  • Camera, Microphone and Speaker selection (speaker selection where the browser supports it), with a mirror toggle for your self-view.
  • Noise suppression — filters keyboard clatter and background noise from your mic.
  • HD send resolution — send your camera at up to 1080p; uses more upstream bandwidth.

Recording

The organizer can hit Record to capture the meeting — the composited video and audio, i.e. what participants actually saw — to an MP4 on the server. A system line marks the start and stop for everyone in the room, and the finished file is indexed alongside call recordings on the Recordings page, where the usual storage quotas and archive policies apply.
