Phone dial-in

Every meeting gets a numeric meeting code when it's created, so participants without a computer can join the audio from any phone — webmeetings and Call-type audio conferences alike.

How callers join

Callers dial the conference extension (set under Admin → Call Features → Conferencing), hear a prompt tone, and enter the meeting code followed by #. That drops them straight into the meeting's audio — they appear in the roster like any other participant, and if the meeting is locked the code is refused. Pressing # on its own instead joins the classic conference bridge.

Internal users can dial the extension from any desk phone; for outside callers, point a DID at the conference extension with an inbound rule and list the number in the conferencing settings' external numbers field so it appears in invitations.

Where the code comes from

Codes are assigned automatically when a meeting is created — shown in the Meet lobby, included in Copy invite text, and displayed on the lobby's Phone dial-in card. Each code is per-meeting, so a leaked code from last quarter's board call opens nothing today.
